Websnapr for Drupal is a module that adds website thumbnail previews to external links from the free Websnapr service. It provides the proverbial what-you-see-is-what-you-get visual indication of the link destination in a small footprint.
It should be noted that a similar web service from Snap.com has raised usability issues for popup website previews. My 0.02 on the usability issue is that popup website previews are probably best left as a browser plugin, as opposed to a site feature… de gustibus non est dispustandum.
Installation
- Upload the websnapr folder to your modules directory
- Go to the Administer > Modules and enable websnapr.module
- Go to Administer > Site Configuration > Websnapr to enable/disable optional functionality of the module

Websnapr for Drupal is derived from External Links written by Jeff Robbins and Nate Haug, and includes the Preview Bubble Javascript by Juan Xavier Larrea. The popup icon indicator is modified from the Mini Icon set by Mark James.

WebSnapr is awesome, much
WebSnapr is awesome, much better than its competitors. However, I have a problem because on a secured (https) site where I need to use it there are constant security warnings about the site containing both secure and non-secure items.
Secure connection
I'm having the same problem like vacilando. Our website https://www.ajaxpartner.de is using a secure connection (https). Is Websnapr offering their service via a secure connection?
Is this workin on 6.2
well, WebSnapr is awesome... but is this working on 6.2 drupal ????
